The storm had passed by dawn, leaving the mansion quiet under soft light. Birds chirped faintly outside, and the air smelled fresh, washed clean by the rain.
Koo woke early, her body still heavy with exhaustion but her heart lighter than it had been in years. She turned her head toward Aera, sleeping peacefully in the crib Tae had placed by the guest bed. Koo smiled, brushing a kiss over her babyโs soft cheek.
She slipped out of bed, pulling on the short dress Tae had bought her the night before. No bra, no pantiesโshe never liked wearing them, never saw the point. She padded barefoot down the wide hallway, clutching Aera on her hip when the baby woke with a small cry.
In the grand kitchen, Koo looked around, biting her lip nervously. She wasnโt used to such a placeโso big, polished, with everything shining. But she wanted to do something, anything, to show her gratitude.
So she started cooking. She found eggs, bread, butter, and vegetables. Her hands worked quickly, almost habitually, as Aera giggled on her hip, watching her mother move around. The smell of breakfast soon filled the air.
That was when Tae walked in.
His hair was messy from sleep, his shirt half-buttoned, pajama pants hanging low on his hips. He stopped in the doorway, stunned.
Koo stood at the stove, barefoot, her tiny dress riding up her thighs as she bent slightly to flip the eggs. Her baby perched happily on her hip, chubby arms flailing with excitement. She looked like something out of a dreamโlike a wife in his kitchen, glowing in the morning light.
โGood morning,โ Tae said, his voice husky from sleep.
Koo turned, startled, her lips curling into a shy smile. โGood morning, Tae. I made breakfastโฆ I thought it was the least I could do.โ
Before he could reply, Aera squealed the moment she saw him. Her little hands reached out, and her whole body bounced with joy.
Tae chuckled, stepping forward. โOh? You want to come to me, little one?โ He carefully took her from Kooโs arms, holding her against his chest.
The baby snuggled into him instantly, giggling, tiny fists clutching his shirt.
Kooโs heart melted at the sight. Her babyโwho rarely smiled for strangersโlooked so happy in Taeโs arms. And Taeโฆ God, the way he held Aera so naturally, so protectively, like he had done it all his lifeโit made something warm bloom deep inside her chest.
โYouโre good with her,โ Koo said softly.
Tae looked up, meeting her eyes. โSheโs easy to love.โ
The words made her breath catch, her cheeks heating. She quickly turned back to the stove, trying to hide her blush.
They sat at the table, Tae balancing Aera on his knee while eating with one hand. Koo kept sneaking glances at him, amazed at how gentle he was, how Aera seemed glued to him.
The day passed in a blur of laughter and small moments. Tae carried Aera around the house, showed her the garden, even made silly faces that had the baby giggling until her little belly shook. Koo watched all of it, her heart swelling. It felt like a familyโsomething she had never dared to imagine before.
But there were moments that made Tae ache in ways he didnโt expect.
Like when Koo settled on the couch to feed Aera. She tugged the front of her tiny dress down without hesitation, exposing her large, full breasts as she guided her baby to latch.
Tae had been sitting across from her, halfway through a sentence, when the sight hit him like a punch. His throat went dry, his body stiffened. He couldnโt look away. Her breasts were heavy, perfect, tipped with soft pink nipples that disappeared into Aeraโs eager mouth.
Koo, completely innocent, kept talking to him as if nothing was unusual. โThis house is so beautiful, Tae. Do you really live here all alone?โ
Taeโs jaw clenched. He forced himself to answer, eyes darting between her face and the swell of her breasts. โY-Yeahโฆ it gets quiet sometimes.โ
She smiled at him, shifting Aera to the other side, and Godโher entire breast slipped free for a moment before she guided her baby to latch again. Tae had to grip his knee under the table to stop himself from groaning.
Every time she leaned forward, her dress slid dangerously low. Every time she walked past him, he noticed the faint outline of her curves under the thin fabric. And he realized, with a strangled thought, that she wore nothing underneath. No bra, no panties.
Sheโs going to be the death of me, he thought grimly, trying to calm the hardness pressing against his pants.
But Koo remained blissfully oblivious, chatting away, her smile soft, her eyes full of gratitude whenever they landed on him.
That night, when she finally put Aera to sleep and waved him goodnight at the door of her room, Tae walked back to his own with his fists clenched, his body aching.
This girl had no idea what she was doing to him.
And he didnโt know how much longer he could hold back.
